We now offer Laparoscopic Surgery!
Case Veterinary Hospital provides and advocates laparoscopic surgery over traditional surgery when possible. Already standard in human medicine, laparoscopy is a minimally invasive method of surgery performed within the abdomen using a tiny camera and instruments which are inserted through two or three small holes instead of opening the abdomen through a long incision. It is less invasive, therefore less painful, and has a decreased risk of infection. This method of surgery also allows for less hospital time, faster recovery and fewer complications. Having the ability to perform surgery in this manner is revolutionizing the standard of care at Case Veterinary Hospital as we are consistently learning ways in which the equipment allows less invasive, less painful alternatives to traditional surgery through abdominal incisions.
